ABOUT ME
Hello, my name is Renee and I am the owner of Loc's by Serenity. Like many other hairstylists, I've always had a passion for hair, in this case, dreadlocs. I grew up in a home where hair was a daily topic, from when my mom did our hair, to when my sisters and I gave mom a break. But the conversation was always there.
From an early age, I began to develop creative ways to maintain hair, from perms, to braids, to drying, ironing and now dreadlocs. I practiced on my family. My trick was to focus on each of the hair textures and learn what works for each person, and because of that, I have been successful with Loc's by Serenity. (Fast forward, I graduated as a Medical Assistant and worked for a Dermatologist for over 5 years, and my interest in skin and scalp care was sparked. I took advantage of the position and learned as much as I could, always thinking about how I would apply this knowledge in my future hair care business. Long story short, Loc's by Serenity was born in October 2020. Has it been a challenge? Yes. Has it given me courage to move on? Yes, and that's why we're here today being rewarded with talent, passion, motivation and incredible clients who have consistently booked, shown up and continue to live a healthy lifestyle with their dreadlocs.

Any appointment scheduled after 5:30 pm will incur an additional charge of $25.

To secure your appointment, a deposit must be made. We do not accept appointments by: text, email or phone call.

Cancellation or rescheduling must be done 24 hours before the appointment.

If you do not show up or call to cancel your appointment, you will be charged the remaining balance. After you do not show up or communicate for your appointment, you will not be able to book with us.

All services listed are starting prices, not fixed prices, this is because prices vary depending on the condition of your dreads.

Customers are allowed a 10 minute grace period.

As our space is not as large as we would like, we ask that there be no additional people, unless they are being served.
